As we sit here and it is snowing outside, I often dream about the summer. At Hacienda Sarria, where I am fortunate enough to work every day, we have a 3 acre vegetable and flower garden.
The garden is run by the amazing folks at the Working Centre in Kitchener, Ontario.
I am one of 300 community members who pays for a share in the garden and for that I get a large beautil basket of fresh local vegetables every week from June to October. This year I am going to commit to making some creative and healthy recipes to highlight this amazing local, seasonal produce.
